It seems like Spring will never arrive this year, but on April 19th, we were teased for a day with a gorgeous Spring-Summer day and everyone was out in full force to enjoy and participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt in St Nicholas Park, sponsored by the Friends of St Nicholas Park. Thanks to Kim DeBerry who organized the event!

Next Saturday, July 13th the Hamilton Grange celebrates the 209th Anniversary of the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. This duel cost Hamilton his young life. Come to the Grange for a reading from the letters leading up to this historic duel by Park Ranger performers.

This event will be remembered at Hamilton Grange National Memorial on Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. The event is free to the public. Park Rangers will perform dramatic readings from the letters between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr that led up to the infamous exchange, allowing visitors to travel back to 1804.

The program is just a part of the Alexander Hamilton Awareness foundation’s month long celebration of Hamilton’s life. For more on those events check them out on the “Celebrate Hamilton2013” page.

On January 12th, at the Hamilton Grange, Rand Scholet, President and Founder of The AHA Society, has been invited to speak at the Grange. Come listen to his presentation “Alexander Hamilton: Washington’s Indispensable Founder.”

This begins at 11am on Saturday, Jan 12th at the Hamilton Grange.
