After a very successful first meeting and Spring Festival in St. Nicholas Park, you are cordially invited to join us for a second St. Nicholas Park Community Meeting.

Join Friends of St. Nicholas Park members, neighbors and Parks officials as we discuss community involvement in the park and continue to ride the momentum gained during the first meeting.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hamilton Grange. It is located at 414 West 141st Street, between Convent Avenue and St. Nicholas Avenue.

Your enthusiasm and contributions will be greatly appreciated!

Dear Friends!

We have great news to share, New York City Parks Department, New York City Partnership for Parks and the Friends of St. Nicholas Park will be holding a community park planning meeting on Tuesday, March 12th from 7pm-9pm at St. Marks United Methodist Church at 49 – 55 Edgecombe Ave. (West 137th Street & St. Nicholas Ave.).

This meeting’s purpose is to plan events for St. Nicholas park in 2013. We need some great ideas and volunteers to help us make St. Nicholas Park better than ever!

Dear Friends,

Tuesday’s meeting (March 10th) will be held at Londel’s Supper Club located at Frederick Douglas Blvd between 139th and 140th streets. Stop by, have a drink or order some food and help plan events for St. Nicholas Park in 2009. We have a lot on our agenda including helping plan for the Easter Festival in April. The Friends of St. Nicholas Park are holding our monthly meeting next Tuesday, March 10th at 7pm at St. Mark’s Church. St. Mark’s Church is located at 55 Edgecombe Avenue at the intersection of 137th Street, Edgecombe and St. Nicholas Avenues. At this meeting we’ll be planning for our exciting Easter Festival which will take place on Saturday April 11th. We need volunteers to help us plan the arts and crafts, Easter Egg hunt, and someone to be our Easter Bunny!

Also, Sarah Fort from Partnership for Parks will be at our meeting letting our community know about the Partnership Academy which helps train community leaders in organizing events, fundraising, and more.

Please spread the word and bring a friend or two! Bring your ideas about events at the Hamilton Grange, or other areas of the park.

Let your voice be heard on issues that impact the quality of life for you and all residents of Hamilton Heights. How has the current economic crises impacted services to our neighborhood? What are your concerns on affordable housing, open spaces, parks, schools, after-school programs, police/safety, transportation, sanitation, social service programs? Let us make sure BP Scott Stringer is aware of our concerns and that Hamilton Heights/West Harlem receives its fair share and is not underserved in the Mayor’s plan/budget for the city.
